I’m a twitter user since January 2008 and I tried to get some traffic this way. I was not very successful with this and only a hand full of people visited my website.

So I decided to give this book a try, as I already made some money by blogging and thought it’s a good investment and it looked quite legitimate.

I just got it a 2 weeks ago and didn’t had time to go through it completely. But shortly after I started, I realized my first mistake. When i registered for Twitter, I thought that more people following you transforms into high traffic to my blog and started following everyone I found and hoped some would follow back.

After I had ~700 followers I started twittering. But the traffic was really bad and I was really disappointed! I thought there would be at least 15-20% who come visit the website after twittering a bit about it. Sadly out of 700 people there were maybe 1 or 2 following the links.

After reading the first few pages of this great tutorial, I realized what I’ve done wrong: I’ simply followed everyone. This is wrong!

Instead the book gives great tips on how to generate converting traffic via Twitter by targeted twittering instead of mass-following.

Another thing was, I spent to less time into it to get a good base of followers.

I will read the book and update this post if necessary, but from what I’ve read yet, it’s really worth it’s money. Can’t tell yet if it will increase my income significantly, but I’ll test it for a few weeks or months and let you know if it helped or not!
